    Default Bizarre import guidelines

I am considering buying a pen from a vendor that uses DHL so I checked this carrier's website about import guidelines to Puerto Rico. What I found has truly astonished me:

DHL Express Import Guidelines: Puerto Rico
Shipping guidelines, standard prohibitions and restrictions to consider when sending express shipments to Puerto Rico.
    Prohibited Commodities for Puerto Rico
Used car spare parts,Used clothing and all items that contain mutilated maps of Peru.

Really? Items that contain mutilated maps of Peru?

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Does anyone have something that could resemble an explanation for this bizarre prohibition?

    This is the page: http://www.dhl.com/en/pr/country_pro...s_express.html

    Indeed, very bizarre!

Logistics companies are a weird bunch though.

Weird. Perhaps a territorial dispute that makes certain maps contentious?

Either that or they're just sticklers for neatly folded maps.

The prohibition against mutilated maps of Peru is for imports into Peru. There must be an error (or simply DHL laziness) as it pertains to Puerto Rico.
