Don't give up on the Ahab.......I have a few and like that Nathan designed them so you can tinker with if desired as all Noodler's Pens are.

Your leaking from the inside at the plunger. Open back up, unscew the plunger, put a little silicone grease on the threads and screw back on straight. It will not leak afterwards. I love the ability to swap out the nib.............find you an inexpensive #6 vintage Sheaffer, Parker, etc. abt 31-33mm and swap out. With the ebonite feed it turns out to be quite the handsome writer!

I disagree with all do respect and state they are not junk. I have abt 6 with various nibs including the nib that came with it, re-ground to a fine italic and love them. Just be careful filling sometimes, if the clear plunger is loose or crooked it will leak, but that is a no-brainer and now you know to just remove it, rinse and reinstall
