    Default Italix Parson’s Essential

I recently came across this pen, and I really like the look, particularly the classic styling and the Celtic knot style band on the cap.
My brief research seems to show that they are a reasonably well regarded pen, do any of you here who might have tried one concur, or are there any problems to be aware of?
Also, my preferred stub/italic nibs have been the 1.1mm JoWo, would that be closer to their italic or cursive italic, and how does fine/medium/broad italic compare to metric designations?
    Thanks.

I have one, and it's a good pen, rather heavy because they use brass body, though the black finish is very good, not overly glossy, but quite handsome.

Their italic nib is okay, it lacks the crispness that I sought for, so I added my own grind to the nib and make it the way I like it.

This is the before my grind (as it came from the manufacturer):

And this is after I added my own grind:

    Hope that helps.

I have one, with a broad nib. I like it pretty well.

Pros / solid, nice finish, smooth writer, I like the looks

Cons/ heavy, had to add agitators to the CC to keep the ink flowing

Overall, I give it a thumbs up

I have one in the amber finish with an IM nib. It's not a crisp italic, but that suits me. Very smooth, good ink flow even with drier inks, feels solid as anything. Cheap enough to be a pen I take away on holiday as it's not too expensive or difficult to replace. I'd recommend it.

I have one with the 1.1 mm nib. I realize that the italic style nib is not a calligraphy nib and enjoy writing with it in my hybrid cursive italic hand.

I had one, again with the 1.1 mm nib. It was too heavy for me and I sold it on.
