Parker 125th Anniversary Mandarin Yellow - ????

A few years ago I purchased one of these pens new. #826/1088.

And since then, I've not been able to fine ANYTHING about it online. Nothing. No articles...other than a couple original Parker marketing ads...nothing on Ebay. Nothing on various stores. Nothing. Zip. Squat.

Just curious if someone knew value related or demand related or anything about the pen.

If it's called the Parker Duofold Centennial Mandarin and if you scroll down on this Parker Penography page it is mentioned with text and a picture.

In 1995 Parker offered a Duofold Centennial Mandarin Limited Edition. It sported 3 solid gold rings. The body was engraved George S. Parker and featured the old Lucky Curve ribbon engraved with the number of the pen. The crown was engraved “Parker Duofold Mandarin” and the number. It was offered in an attractive yellow and black box. 10,000 items were produced, of which 3,000 were sold in the US.

They made 1088 of them. I just find it odd that all...every single one...of my responses to inquiries are similar to yours....they've never heard of it. (No offence intended.) A couple years back I talked with a very prominent trader of classic/antique pens and both he and several of his colleges had never heard of it. Very very odd to me.

Can't find a number engraved on the pen. I'd have to drag the box out of storage.

The SN is directly below the DUOFOLD logo on the body. You can kinda see it in this link:

Was this perhaps one of the Duofolds created specifically for the Asian market, similar to the Burgundy SE? A nice pen regardless!

Can't remember for sure, but I think I paid around $800 US.

It looks like it was a 2013 LE model made for the global market. There were limited numbers of pieces released on each continent, which makes them easier to find in some places compared to others.
They look very collectible due to only being 1088 of them made. RRP was £1350, but I've seen some priced over £1500 in some places (by currency conversion).

Thanks everyone. I traded three Monte Blancs + $600 for mine. Congrats on yours jmccarty3. If I remember the full retail was in the $1500US - $1800US range...but don't hold me to that. Bought mine from a Parker dealer in Seattle. He only got one in and I couldn't resist.
