    Default What are these for?

Farmboy borrowed time on a lathe while his is stuck on a pallet. What did he make? The filler mechanism is there for size. 3DDBF388-CF3D-4E00-9D63-8CDC1BAF7506.jpg

There are no prizes but we can go over how they are used after we figure out what they are.

So, the "part" is the tenon sticking out of the rod, right? They seem like hollow tubes.
I have no clue other than a pipe to move ink from one place to another

Any chance it is a tool for popping out the buttons on a button-filler pen?

Not a tool. They are indeed hollow tubes machined on the and of a hard rubber rod.

They do touch ink. What else they do is now the question.

That was just there to provide some scale. Though the thought of making the tubes for lock down fillers has crossed my mind...

The 'things' are the tooled end of the rods.

My guess is that Farmboy made a tool to knock out feed and nibs on modern pens that has that cartridge/converter connector in the back of the section.
