    Default Perfect Pencil vs Blackwing

I picked up the Perfect Pencil a little while back to replace the one I gifted to a friend. Forgot how much I liked it and then went back and bought 2 more. My son was more than happy to take one when I offered him one. Now I have a spare backup.
I found a box of the Blackwing Soft with a Blackwing Point Guard. While the Soft can do double duty as a writer, it excells as a artist/drawing pencil. This will lay down some nice dark graphite! Smooth and soft for sure. I am thinking it might be a 4B - 6B.
The Perfect Pencil is well, just that, Perfect. It is my EDC in my cargo pants in the pen/pencil leather loop in the Rhodia notebook. The pad takes the N.12 in 3.3x4.7inch. The pencil itself is the Faber-Castell 9000 B. It a writer first and can do double duty as a drawing pencil.

0.5mm vs 0.7mm graphite sizes is much like 9mm vs 45acp...they both work if you know what you are doing. - me
