    Default Hello from Bucks

Just joined to learn a little more about the world of fountain pens. First used them at school in the 1970/80s, but not much since. I became a teacher ten years ago and recently decided to give fountain pens a go again, partly to enhance the process of marking students’ work.

Bucks = Buckinghamshire, UK by the way

Howdy howdy! I used a fountain pen in the 50s and 60s, and then got led astray by (gasp) evil ballpoint writing implements. Luckily I eventually saw the error of my ways, and returned to the fold.

    Welcome and enjoy!
0.5mm vs 0.7mm graphite sizes is much like 9mm vs 45acp...they both work if you know what you are doing. - me

Looking for Caran d'Ache Type 55 2mm set and Rotation .7 pencils.

It’s a beautiful part of the country (especially the Chilterns). I’m not a native, having been born and raised in Birmingham UK, so I really appreciate honour of living somewhere so lovely.

Not to say that Brum doesn’t have its plus points, but you have to work a little harder to see its beauty
