    Default Even more Sailor inks

It might be unfair to blame Saior if a company required its services to release a new line of inks...

That seems to be the case of Nakabayashi, a well known maker of stationeries and office supplies --albeit no fountain pen under their belt. In partnership with Sailor, they have created a sort of a new brand: Nakabayashi ink, whose colors are based on ukyo-e engravings by Hokusai and Hiroshige.

The first batch is called "Blue Revolution" and is formed by 5 inks:

The price is not cheap--JPY 2700 per 50ml. That is JPY 54/ml, which is slightly cheaper than the JPY60/ml of the Ink Studio line.

Is there any limit to the offer of inks and colors?

    Cheers,

I like the boxes. I'm not sure I need five shades of blue ink, even if the idea is kind of a cool one because I love those Ukiyo-e woodcuts.

Thank you for sharing the news.

Blue is not exactly every fountain pen enthusiast's favourite colour, but surely popular with the drop-in/one-time buyer.

I agree about the boxes, love them. The swatches are not easy to see, but I am not moved to try any of those colors. I really have all the true blues I need. I also have blue-black as well. I will be paying attention when they come out with green, blue green, or maroon/burgundy, maybe even brown.
