We'll see you in June Rui.
Is anyone else coming to May's meeting? We didn't set a date but I have assumed it to be the 7th.
I have bottle of the new Diamine Oxford Blue and TWSBI Eco Clear 1.5 to bring along.

Just when I was planning the weekend housework/shopping etc around meeting up tomorrow ...

Sadly, I'll have to miss tomorrow because I will be covering for an instructor at a local riding school who has lost her voice (but on the plus side, I will spend the day surrounded by horses and ponies).

And there I was looking forward to seeing my Eco Clear 1.1 side by side with Marisa's 1.5 Eco Clear. Ah well, there's always another time.

My apologies too, I'll be at a meeting at Brooklands Museum. June is unlikely too, preparing for a trip to Italy on a vintage motorcycle.

Cob, I so sorry I wasn't there for this month's meet. Last night I went rock climbing after work and think I may have overdone it. By the time I woke up it was well past 1pm!

Fair enough you must have been exhausted indeed!

It was rather a quiet meeting I'm afraid; this snap was made at about 12:45!

Oh my word. Very quiet indeed.

Shuffles off to sit on the naughty step as penitence for dropping out at short notice.

    Hangs head in shame.

    Oh Cob.

That's a real shame. I will do my best to be at the June meet.

Oh Cob I feel awful. By way of apology I'll make sure to bring some tasty treats at the next meet.

Not to worry - sh1t happens!

But, View from the Loft, you missed my silver Onoto that arrived only this morning (see photo). I should have it fixed and working for next time!

Regards to all - and Marisa, no need to feel awful - I only wish that I could sleep as you do!

Sure does, cruising the Bristol back down the A23 it suddenly gave up at 70 mph. Had to scare another motorist to give me enough space to get to the side of the road. Think the methanol in the petrol has eaten the fuel pump diaphragm.

    Which Bristol do you have?

Nasty thing to happen; I recall doing about 90 on the M4, when the (new) points on my FIAT 124 Sport disintegrated; that wasn't funny either!

Ah yes: the engine with thousands of little BSF nuts and bolts! I recall sort out an AC Greyhound for the Coupe des Alpes when I was in France. Shocking oil leaks; I had to tighten innumerable little nuts some not very accessible.

However I so have a soft spot for Bristols, excellent engineering and true individuality.

Well the two cars have something in common then! There is a large plate along the block 'down below' that is only held by a single central fixing. A recipe for leaks (and it does!).

It surely happens. On our third day of two weeks holiday I landed up in the hospital (urology problems) and we had to cut short the holidays so we never went to Barcelona for the second half.

At this stage I am not sure if I'll be at June's meeting as there is a high probability that this time there will be surgical procedures involved. I'll keep you posted.

Oh my word. Are you sure that you should book any more holidays (I seem to recall you returning from one with a facial injury)?

So sorry to hear this, best wishes to you both.
