Shall we all meet in the lobby for a coffee about 10ish, as usual?
Some days, it's hardly worth chewing through the leather straps....

Sounds good.
For those of you travelling by train this Sunday, here is a list of planned closures that I know about. It is not exhaustive, so please do your own research if your line is not listed:
District Line: no service between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway. Piccadilly line trains call additionally at Turnham Green.
London Overground: no service between Hackney Downs and Walthamstow Central
No service between Willesden Junction and Camden Road
Piccadilly Line: no service between Acton Town and Uxbridge.
TfL Rail: no service Stratford to Shenfield
See you all there!

I am a fountain pen obsessive who would like to meet with other enthusiasts in London. May I please catch up with you somewhere to introduce myself with a view to joining your group?

We'll be at the pen show this Sunday, but probably undistinguishable from many others. We usually meet on the first Saturday of the month at noon, at the Biershenke (close to Liverpool Street Station). We meet downstairs, and are easily recognised by the pens and inks on the table.
I am going to the show and depending on transport shall try to meet up for coffee. However I understand you are lunching in a pub around the corner and whilst I don't want to crash your lunch I might like to stop by briefly by way of an intro if I don't make coffee. Providing of course that you find that acceptable. Thanks. Terry Holt.

Oh, I'm sorry for LucienPS! In this case would be a pity not filling his place, I'll really love having lunch with you.
I have no idea about why I didn't receive a notification about that mail but now I've so thank you for sending me it.
Sounds good to me too.
Anyone coming from Canary Wharf or somewhere around it?
I thought it was 10:30
Well having complained about the prices of vintage pens at the London Show I have gone modern and bought a Conid Slimline Bulkfiller. Really nice people (and pens) they did a stub grind there and then for free.

I enjoyed my day - the company was delightful (thanks to everyone for that) the hamburger in the pub was krapp quite frankly (Rui's purloined roast looked like a better bet!).
As for the prices of my favourite marque - well. Here's what I wrote in reply to Marc Shiman on the Mabie Todd Forum over on FPN:
The prices seem to be forever rocketing skywards; I did buy a decent enough Parker Victory with a nice nib for £20, but the Mabie Todds I desired were out of reach I am afraid. One bloke had four L205/62s - the colour I have always sought. The price "around £250" - and not one had decent gold plate to its clip. Another bloke had a decent enough SM100/60 at £35; it had a nice nib, but unfortunately the wrong one - a No 2. The bloke looked quite peeved when after his offering to find a No 1 to go into it I said that I thought it likely that the section would have been modified to accept the larger nib and feed!
They are having a laugh.
I was disappointed at the dearth of decent spares this time; ordinary MT nibs were priced at £25 upwards.
Never mind; as I said a good day out.
Best regards to you all.

Rui's steak was awful - full of gristle.
Hope he enjoyed my beef!
ETA: thankyou View for sorting out the table.

It was very nice to meet up with you all.
Journey home not so good - train hit a cow around Huntingdon resulting in multiple cancellations so I had to stand all the way home!!
