Default Caran d’Ache Venetian pencil and pen set

I think this set is up in my top 5 as far as mechanical pencils goes. The pen was acquired at a later date in used dirty condition. As black as it was I was thinking silver. It was also out of ink which wasn’t a problem as I always have some fine refills in reserve. The pen, when you click the top, is so soft that you think it didn’t lock in place. So you click it again only to realize it did lock into place on the first time.
This is part of the Ecridor series and all the pens feel this way. You do get used to it. It’s a pleasant surprise and puts a smile on my face to know you don’t have to push hard on it.
The pencil is very nice as the Ecridor series is excellent and no bugs what so ever. It is the basic inside works that doesn’t change, just the outside is different. Which is great as they have several lines so you are going to find something that will catch your eye!

0.5mm vs 0.7mm graphite sizes is much like 9mm vs 45acp...they both work if you know what you are doing. - me
