Would someone help me identify this pen (model number, series etc.)? It was given to me as a gift back in 1990. I know that it is a fountain Pen with cartridges. There is a number on the tip 4810. Pictures attached.
It is a Montblanc 144, later called the "Classique" before that name was reassigned to the 145. The 144 is no longer in production. Your pen should have a converter inside the barrel, though it will also accept ink cartridges. The "4810" is simply one of Montblanc's trademarks derived from the height in meters of Mont Blanc (the mountain in France).
Good day. New member here, but been collecting fountain pens for almost 20 years. I have a Mont Blanc set I want to sell on eBay but don’t have a clue of what mdoel it is. I googled the serial number but nothing. Here are pics of the bodies.
Welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell. The fountain pen is a 144 Classique while the other is either a ball point 164 or a pencil (model 163?); if it is the pencil it will require different width leads, .5, .7 or .9 IIRC and you need to list which lead would be needed.
It's the same type of fountain pen as that shown in the first post: Montblanc Meisterstück 144 Classique as jar says, but it's in Bordeaux colour. We can't tell from your pictures if the other pen is a Meiaterstück ballpoint or pencil but he's given you the model numbers.
