need pen repair in SF Bay Area

Hello, all! I just bought a Faber-Castell Ambition as a gift, and it's writing poorly (scratchy and dry). Can anyone recommend a repair person/nibmeister in the Bay Area?

(I might wind up sending it back to F-C for repair/replacement, if they ever respond to my inquiry.)

There is a pen show at the Pullman hotel in Redwood city next weekend (24-26). There is a group that meets in Millbrae on Sunday at Peter's Cafe. There are usually capable people in attendance.

Both of these would be more or less immediate solutions in the world of pen repair/tuning.
