Hafa Adai from Guam!
Hello, everyone!
New user based on the island of Guam (yes, that Guam that was threatened with a nuclear strike last year). I was a dormant carrier of the FP virus for many years. I remember being fascinated as a boy when my dad would tinker and fiddle around with his Parkers and load them up with Quink.
My wife gave me a Waterman Charleston (black with gold trim) as a gift a few years back, and which lay dormant for many moons in my bedside drawer after I carelessly dropped it and wrecked the nib. I finally pulled it out one evening to see if I could repair the nib myself. It still is clearly bent out of shape, but at least it now writes smoothly enough.
I became a full blown FP infected geek after stumbling upon Brian Goulet's videos on YouTube, and that promptly led me deep into this rabbit hole that I am now happily exploring. Other than my Waterman Charleston, that exploration forged ahead initially with a Pilot Metropolitan, two Platinum Preppy pens (converted to eyedropper), and a TWSBI ECO (clear).
My meanderings online eventually brought me to the fountain pen caverns on eBay, and boy, now I need help.
