This is the nib and feed of my Mabie Todd Blackbird. It is having flow issues because the feed doesn't have good contact with the nib. At some stage in its life the point of the nib has contacted something hard. In the instruction it says that to get the ink flowing you should shake it a little. I imagine some one may have bumped the nib against the paper.
So I'm not sure if the feed has changed shape over the years or if the slight bend in the nib is affecting contact between the nib and feed.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have pushed the feed a little further forward, but this only makes it contact at the very edge and the ink flow still isn't as good as I think it could be.MT Blackbird1.jpgMT Blackbird2.jpgMT Blackbird3.jpg
