    23rd October Prompt: Muddy

Blends of Diamine Carnation, Saddle Brown and Silver Fox. Carnation came out quite bright for my pig.

    24th October Prompt: Chop

I wondered what to attempt for this one. Maybe lamb or pork? Than I came up with this:

Diamine Onyx Black and Ochre, plus Colorverse Crystal Planet Blue (Thanks to Scooby for the MI sample)

Awesome Chrissy, actually we had both the same idea, I also thought about drawing a Karate chop.
But when I saw your excellent interpretation I´ve chosen something different.

I mean, how could I not, given I grew up in southern Arizona, heart of the Sonoran desert?

If you've never been, it is amazing to see the desert full of saguaros, prickly pear, ocotillo, barrel cactus, cholla, and so much more, to say nothing of the rich fauna scurrying about.

I use Rotring Zeichentusche Weiß (Rotring Drawing ink white for Isograph).
This is the white ink Rotring produces for their Isograph/Rapidograph technical pens.
So far this is the best white drawing ink I had.
I normally apply it with a brush, sometimes with a dip nib (both work really good, of course it perform also good in technical pens and do not cloak them).

It is really opaque, waterproof and easy to apply.
It plays well with water and when mixed with other inks, it give good gradients with washes.

I tried also some often recommended white pens like the Uniball Signo (and others).
But they never worked well for me.
With the Uniball Signo I often get no nice line, I think the ball in the pen does not spin well on many surfaces (especially when you already applied other colors before or on smooth paper), the effect is similar to a railroading FP, 2 or more white smeared streaks, or it skips completely, additionally it is quite coarse.
Long story short, I don‘t like it and would not recommend it.

I also do not really like the Pelikan Zeichentusche A Weiß (Pelikan Drawing Ink A White).
I think it is less opaque and it „feel“ not so good as the Rotring one.

    Which one are you using?

Thank you. I don't have one yet because I've only been using white paper. Now I have the grey.
