Was told it was a fine nib. It is a medium. Some ink flow problems.

I expect pens to write without skipping or problems out of the box. Oh well. I will go back to the shop and swap the nib for a fine. It isn't really a big deal, and the pen is such a beautiful little pen, but I could see how such an experience might put someone else out. (Not saying that these issues are exclusive to Italian pens. This thread happens to be on my radar, and I happened to buy a Delta, and so.... Life goes on.)
Lucky you to have a local fine pen shop to walk into.

Yeah. You're right. I didn't plan it this way. It is a lovely store, too. Nice man who owns it.

Crikey, you are lucky. In this country, most people would ask "What's a pen shop?". And I see from your latest avatar that you are taking dictation from your dog? Smart pooch!

I have three Filcao's, going on four. The boutique brand has been around since 1969 with Franco Grisalia at the helm. That's an amazing run. I have the Columbia, Silvia, 2004 Pentrace LE, and coming soon, the Kameleon.

I also, of course, have Visconti Wallstreet, Stipula Model T, Aurora Optima, and a nice little Delta Solaris in blue.

Italians all have flair. The nibs can be quite worth visiting also.

"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

I could make a list of my 39 Visconti. Not an ultimate authority probably, just buy a lot. :-) Bogon has more than that, he just refuses to count and admit it!!!

Ye gads - with the new green tapeworm - 39 too.
The Purple Rembrandt is Mrs Bogon's so technically the count is only 38.
There is another Visconti penciled in for September so you will have to get a few more soon.
What is more worrying is the fast grow pile of Deltas, now up to 8.

You will pass me soundly as no more pens in 2014. I have spent a bloody fortune and need to rest my bank account. And you have me soundly beat in the Delta category for sure!!

I've been saying "no more pens in 2014." since February which has been an epic failure so far.

Igor61, that is a substantial bunch of Omas in your collection !
