    Igor61, that is a substantial bunch of Omas in your collection !
    Ha ha - but that would have been 12 whole months, no wonder. I have just 4 starting tomorrow and I don't have the shakes yet so that is good news. We'll revisit this in October. . . If I am not shaking so hard I can't write that is. . . .

    In January I wrote that I balanced out the average by having none. Now I have one Delta and the nearest I have ever gotten to an Omas was when I put an Omas nib onto a Sheaffer body for a friend. Also I have been permitted to handle a Visconti. This limited experience gives me a fairly clear understanding of why you all find Italian pens so desirable. They combine modern materials and techniques with heritage craftsmanship to make items of outstanding beauty and utility, which succeed in being showy without being gaudy.

    My next pen is going to be a delta unica. Unless I feel like stretching to an italiana, or, even further, to a montegrappa ducale.
    "What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

    Taccia = 2

    Visconti = 13

    Taccias are made in Taiwan. They are very nice pens, but they are not italian.
