Not exactly my back door ... but my kitchen window, some time earlier this year.

I'm so happy the snow is long gone by now and everything is a lush green.

A Sulpher-crested cockatoo (Cacatu galerita) on our TV aerial eating a lemon from our lemon tree.
He/she dropped the lemon on our roof after eating the seeds out of it.

A big male squirrel decided to come by and pester the cats a bit. It took a lot to get him to move on, he was behaving a bit aggressively and fearless and though the cats were not in any danger, he needed to go carry on elsewhere from my standpoint.

Don't you love those cheeky buggers? No fear. I have one who taunts my dog.

Reminds me of a nurse that I worked with who had a vacation home in one of the southern states. Said she alway had to keep her windows closed because of the squirrels. I asked: because they'd try to come in. She said no: that if you didn't feed them when they came up on the screens, they would get mad and 'pee' through the screens and into the house!!! Nice!

Back from a wild sailboat ride to Chicago in a way-too-fast 46 footer my father-in-law wanted to purchase. The smaller boat here is a neighbor as seen from our [empty] slip... Nice to have our sea legs back though!

Don't get your fingers or toes anywhere near that mouth that is better known as a alligator snapping turtle and will take your finger off I used to live in florida and I used to push them out of the road and all of us who have ever spent any time in florida know to use a branch off a tree to move them never ever use your fingers , hands or feet.

It's beautiful isn't it? It changes every day and we are continually mesmerised by the view.

You were doing well with the pens, ink & TR paper but sadly my husband is allergic to cats and my dog doesn't like them.
All the same, the TR paper ALMOST got you over the line.

Damn no TRP. Plenty of Rhodia & Maruman.
Mrs Bogon fell for the line "domesticated" & luckily for her the stationery and fountain pen addicted didn't kick in until a decade or so into the marriage.
Her yarn & wool addiction didn't start until three years ago.

I do enough domestic chores here to last me a lifetime, I was kind of hoping for a pampered life in the sun. Thanks anyway if you ever get servants in let me know.
