No link, no photo. I say: worthless.

Certainly worth the price of an Emperor's New Clothes.

Assuming restoration is needed, it'll be about $30-40 depending on which filling system it is.
Plus shipping back and forth, so you'd end spending about $50-60 for a restored and working vintage Sheaffer set with its original case.
To me, that sounds like a decent deal.

This set is from just after the close of WWII and I *believe* it is a Sheaffer "Craftsman". If you want to see why I hesitate just a bit, it has to do with the band at the lip of the cap, commonly called a "wire band" style - take a look at this page and you'll see why it is a bit hard to pin down.
When you are asking for an ID on a pen, the more photos the better. It would be very helpful to see the nib (tip of the pen) as well as an indication of the filling system (a small gold bar/lever would indicate a lever filler, a knob on the end that unscrews would be the "Touchdown" filler. In any case, this is not a particularly high-end pen and is in a common color; it would need to be restored (the filling system) if it hasn't been. My guess would be less than $100 for the set, possibly half that. Other people may have more ideas and valuations.

Assuming the restoration price was around $50 or less as penwash has said, and you got the set for under $20-30, I would say in restored functional condition it would be worth the price (some restorers will also polish the pen, collectors tend to decline that option, but some users like having it all shiny, just something to keep in mind depending on how you're going to use it)
You just want to make sure you get a picture of it uncapped and make note of any chips/cracks. If the nib is damaged, bent, or has tipping snapped off then that's going to be a lot more expensive to restore/replace. Cracks though can be restored by a professional without much issues.
Restoration can make a huge difference on your perception of it being "worth it", especially if the intent is to use it.

That's a nice pen, but your "before" condition isn't in that bad of shape; it's always more dramatic if the b/a photos show the ugly duckling really coming to life. Case in point: Ratner & Sons, RHR, mid-1920s. A real 3rd tier pen that had been stained by ink but appeared it might clean up. It did.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Definitely worth the $13.00 initial investment. Is there a lever on the barrel of the pen?
