If the underside of the nib wasn't covered in tarnish there was sometimes an engraving there such as M2 to show the nib point indicator.
In the flashed picture of the underside showing the tipping with a gap between them, safest bet is a standard medium, and wet one at that.
Quickest way to know is probably a dip test once the pen is cleaned (or if you want to dip into a vial of ink that you don't worry about contaminating and rinse it off after before sending it out for service/restoration, though the flow/point might change slightly after restoration).
