So, I never really understood the fascination with, or the popularity of, the BLT - and probably only ever ate one in all myredactedyears;
however, that is until very recently... since I started curing my own bacon, the BLT has been the single most prominent use of the final product and could now actually be my favourite sandwich - I am now eating a lot more lettuce and tomatoes as a result, and have also become more fussy about sourcing and selecting those I use!
