    Hello alexwi

Please can you post a photograph of your Coronet.

Being black I sure it is.

Include your Harlequin if you wish

    Hi Proteus,

The Harlequin is your run of the mill pen with the shields just etched but not painted black (haven't been able to find one at a price I'm willing to pay - of course, what I'm willing to pay is a highly variable number, depending on the season, weather, wife's mood, etc.).

These aren't my best pictures, but the important details are there. I just noticed that the nib is steel, which I think isn't the right nib (given that the pen is black and gold, I would expect the nib to match the ornaments).

    Alex

PS: I had forgotten what a pain in the tassie it is to attach images here.

    Hello Alex,

Your pen is most definitely a fine example of a Parker 45 Coronet.

I would never be concerned that the nib is stainless steel, it is what it is.

The main thing is that you enjoy it.

Thank You for posting your photography of it.

I really enjoy looking at others pens.

A rare example of boxed NOS Coronet from Janesville.

( The photography is not mine )

I would be very interested to hear from anyone who knows what they called the model / pattern.

The pattern is similar to one used at Meru, France in the late 1960's ( Double or Lamine )

I thought they were called Insignia's. Mine are like that.

Please indulge me for a moment

Can you tell me the colour of the tail of your barrel
And what is printed on the cap band
    Any photography would be great.

Nb - I have read your - Ink Review: Diamine Classic Green ink
    ( inkyfountainpens )
It was very impressive to read.

Me, I am just a pen collector.

They aren't Coronets because they aren't made from aluminium and don't have the large rectangular Parker logo that is unique to aluminium Coronets.

    Chrissy,

A great many thanks for your reply.

I like your definition of a Coronet.

Was hoping your pen was Newhaven made.

For me this post is a discovery of pens I know so very little about.

Wish now to hunt down the mythical Newhaven Rolled Silver version.
