Default Late 1960's Parker 45 Coronets

    I have a question please.

Does anyone here actually own a coloured Parker 45 Coronet.

Not a standard common Flighter – silver or gold version.

They were produced in the late 1960’s at Arrow Park, Janesville.
There are no records of any Newhaven production that I am aware of.

Any photography of your pen would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks.

Nb : the photography shown are ‘ lifts ‘ from others

I have 1 black and 1 grey Coronet. Both made in the USA. Edited to add better pictures now taken during daylight.

Christof that brown one is a lovely colour.

I think your grey one is now my grey one that I bought from you. I see the same tiny mark on the Parker logo.

I forgot that, as well as my green Coronet, my partner has a grey one, same as christof’s above.

Here’s a quick snap of them:

A great many thanks to Chrissy, christof & migo984

Your pens and photography look spectacular.

I have never owned one mainly because their prices where usually more than Harlequins - They were always my passion – the first pens I ever collected.

Can you please confirm that the Cap and Upper shell ( Barrel ) on all the pens shown are Aluminium.

Have add a photograph of the original box for these pens ( ‘Lifts’ - not mine - first 2 )

    I have another question please.

Does anyone know anything about a Wilson version of this pen, they appear to be only a grid pattern.

The clutch ring is very different – it is printed – CORONET WILSON ( Last 3 of my ' lifts ' ).

    A great many thanks again.

The Wilson Coronet is not a Parker. It's a copy of a Parker

    Many thanks, Chrissy.

Please can you confirm your Coronet bodies are Aluminum.

I hate to be a pain, please can you tell me how you know Wilson Coronets are copies.

( Have a vast collection of fakes, never encountered one that is this early )

Where they were made, dates of production, have you ever seen one and had a good look at it.

Wilson Coronets are made in India. I once asked about them on another forum. Type "Wilson Coronet" into Google and you will be able to find the thread.

I was advised by Hari who is an acknowledged expert: ".... it was a Wilson made in India. They used to make pens copied from Parker. " and
"Wilson is (was?) a company based in India that copied the style of several Parker models, including the 45 and 51. So these pens are not genuine Parker, they are Parker clones."

There's this Soumitra blog site about them too Plus several other sites.

Authentic Parker Coronet bodies are aluminium. The special large rectangular Parker logo on their cap confirms they are Coronets, and those with that logo are aluminium.

    Chrissy,

Thank you for your information, it was very kind of you.

Because of it, I now have all the information I would wish to know about the Wilson Pen Company, Bombay, India.

    They copied Parker Vac’s, 61’s, 75’s & 45’s.

I now have photography of all of them – it is not appropriate to show them here.

Metal 45s have tended to accumulate over the years.

This box was uncovered while I was looking for something else.

Thought I'd snap a picture for you.

    Wow! Farmboy! (as Chrissy said).

I have one Parker Coronet, a bronze one with an unsightly ding. I bought it with the ding as it was affordable and I wanted one. I don't know if it can be fixed or who could fix it.

I have a black one, which I think is a Coronet, as well as a Shields Harlequin, albeit not with the black shields.
