Mont Blanc Boheme rollerball/ballpoint/mechanical pencil
Hi all - I have a question you may be able to help me with.
I'm looking for a companion for a Mont Blanc Boheme fountain pen in black with silver trim with a black clip stone. Ballpoint, roller-ball or mechanical pencil would all be welcome - I'm not looking for a new one, something used is ideal.
Does anybody know of a good dealer in used pens in the UK who may be able to help?
Thanks all
Richard

Re: Mont Blanc Boheme rollerball/ballpoint/mechanical pencil
Pure Pens handles MB and are very ethical and reliable, so you could keep checking back there.
I'm sure that you're aware of the problem of fakes. Another problem is that some MB "precious resin" (aka good old cheap perspex with strands of glass added, according to chemists and materials people who have looked at them) pens have a history of breaking. The ones to most avoid - unless the problem has been cured since I used to pay attention to such things - are models with twist mechanisms. The combination of frequent twisting and relatively brittle material wasn't good, apparently. So if the Boheme ballpoint is a twist mech, maybe concentrate on looking for one of the others.

You might be able to find a used one on ebay if you were very careful about fakes.

You can also try Brian over at Penamie. He is based in the UK and usually has a nice selection of used MB fp, ballpoint pens, pencils, and rollerballs.

All the Best.

Not sure what part of the country you are in, but Signatures of York is a very good pen shop with a fairly large inventory of MB pens and many other brands. I have purchased pens and pen parts from them in the past and found them very good to deal with. As I recall they do handle mostly new pens, but also have some used stock. Google them for contact information and a look at their shop.
