    Default Possibly an M30?

I have acquired a rather odd pen. It appears to be an MK30 (has the inversely tapering clip, gold nib, in every main way is an MK30, etc.). However, the designation on the black cap with gold trim just says Pelikan Rolled Gold, no model number.

    Is this normal? Any ideas?

A few quick pics. It's inked, hence ink window looks black but is blue

I note the piston twist does not have gold trim like the example above. The cap ring fully says: "PELIKAN ROLLED GOLD - GERMANY -"

I'm intrigued it says "Germany", not "W. Germany"

Up to the 70s it was not a given thing that goods made in West Germany are using “West Germany”.
There were also attempts to prohibit East Germany to use “Made in Germany”, these attempts failed.
As a result “Made in W. Germany” become the common labeling, but this is not without exceptions and before the early 70s also simply “Made in Germany” was common.

Interesting. Odd about the lack of model number, but the German designation may indicate an earlier model.

They didn't always put the number on the cap.

definitely a MK30 (even without number...)

mine is a PK30 catridge filler, indicated by the golden disc at the bottom.
