Default Looking for help with a Picasso 917

Happy New Year, everyone. I have a Picasso 917 that I love, but the clear barrel of the converter took a trip through the garbage disposal, and it ain't pretty.

My only other cc pens are Platinum Plaisirs, which have a proprietary converter, right? So I'm wondering if the Picasso is a standard converter, or if it's also proprietary. If proprietary, does anyone know where I can get a new converter? I NEED my Picasso--you understand, right?!

Thanks for any info you can provide!
    Jack

    Hi,
I have a Picasso( I think it is a 915). The converter is not proprietary.

Chinese pens usually take international converters. The few that don't either seem to take Parker converters or, rarely, a clone will take the converter of the pen it copied. Your pen will almost certainly take an international - you can check by buying cartridges first if you like.

Btw: Platinum sell an adapter for the Plaisir that lets in take international size carts.

Some otherwise pretty decent Chinese pens come with not so great converters. Who makes really good international converters that you can disassemble? (My pens mostly take proprietary converters, so I'm not very familiar with the wonderful world of international cartridges and converters.)

If you're going to that much trouble, you might as well syringe fill cartridges. Otherwise, places that supply pen turners often stock Bock branded converters. I don't know if you can take them apart, but my memory is that they're very decent and cheap.

Schmidt makes decent converters. In fact, I suspect Schmidt is the OEM for virtually every brand that uses standard international converters. To my knowledge, though, they are not made to be disassembled.
