    Default Help ID’ing this Parker

    Hi all,

I’m trying to ID this particular Parker pen that I found lying around in one of the cupboards at home.

From what I have been able to discern, the nib and section looks like that of a Parker 25, as is the cap and clip.

However the body looks to have been pinched from a Parker Vector (it’s a blue resin/plastic body with a steel end). The cap doesn’t sit flush with the barrel at all.

Or is this a franken pen that I have inherited with parts from two separate Parkers?

I think the barrel and nib section belong to a Parker Vector and the cap belongs to a Parker 25. So it looks like someone has replaced a broken Vector cap with a 25 cap that doesn't fit properly.

The 25 nib section is different to the Vector nib section. The 25 section has a more hooded nib and doesn't have the black sheath.

    Chrissy is dead right.

If you wish to investigate further.
Have a look at the top Parker 25 pen cap insert.

If it is flat - it is a Mark I or II ( 1975 onwards )
Later ones have a small inner ring ( Mark III / IV )

Attached some net lifts as I collect neither of these pens.
