    Default New Italix model

Has anyone had a chance to try the new pen from Mr Pen? It's called the Churchman's Tankard and is a button filler so I'm quite tempted. The Parson's Essential is one of my favourite pens, but one of the other Italix models was rather heavy and unbalanced when posted. All thoughts welcome.http://www.mrpen.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d212_Italix_Chaplain's_Tankard.html
Some days, it's hardly worth chewing through the leather straps....

Looks interesting. I think Massdrop had it on a while ago. I have 2 Parson's Essentials and they are very good for the money and give you a chance to experiment with nib styles for a relatively small investment.

The other things I like about the Parson's Essential is that they are robust without being unduly heavy. I'll happily take mine anywhere without any fear of damage.

It's the Chaplains Tankard and button filler is stretching it a bit. It's a cartridge/converter filler.

I do kind of like the gasket to operate the converter behind a blindcap. Mimicking a piston fill in a way.

Tastes are different, I do not like the Parson Essential, for me itˋs one of the most uncomfortable, unbalanced, heavy, hand fatiguing, clunky pen I own.
Mine with a just simple crudely beheaded nib sold as “italic” grind.

Not sure if I inked it once or twice before I buried it in a drawer (where it sits since then for years now).

An awful monstrous thing in my eyes...... but as said tastes are different.....
