Hehe... funny you mention that. I've never really gotten interested in their pens but this popped up just lightly used. The model was originally a 'higher-end' pen with a gold nib and piston fill. These models, many of which seem to be small-run batches with unusual acrylic, have the Bexley (Bock?) steel nib and a c/c system.

However, I'm planing on making a 'cartridge' that mates the nipple of a converter to a tube of clear plexiglass. The say the pens aren't made to ED, and I can see areas where the end pieces are threaded, which would pull in ink. However, the inside of the barrel is fairly spacious, so I'll have a clear tube that extends the length and it will appear almost like an ED, and you'll be able to see the ink level, etc. The acrylic has nice areas of transparency.

It is also really, really comfortable because while it is big, it is light. The section is a truly generous 12mm in width, so no struggling to hang on to the pen. Sad to say, I ordered a second (different material) one - they are only a couple dollars more than the better TWSBI models!

I didn't even know that Bexley pens were made as piston fillers.

I have just one that I bought used from someone on another forum. That is the black "America the Beautiful" and it has an 18ct stub nib, that was broad but is now narrower. It's also a converter filler. I usually keep it filled with Diamine Tchaikovsky and regularly use it when I write my letters, as it makes my handwriting look slightly neater. It will certainly get used during February....

It's John Hancock's birthday! I wonder what makes him stand out?

Added the question mark to the Day’s phrase for obvious reasons.
