    Default Parker 51 nibs

All my 51's seem to have fine to medium fine nibs, I am an accountant. Always feel that a signature with a fine nib, especially as my first and last name are only 4 letters long, lacks any sort of gravitas, bit pompous I know, however does anybody know where I can get a few 51 broad nibs.
    regards to you all

I don't know where in the world you are, but there are some online sellers who occasionally sell Parker 51 nibs. You could do a Google search and/or an ebay search for "Buy Parker 51 nibs" where you are, and hopefully some sales will come up. It's a matter of luck whether there is a B one available. Also bear in mind, that it's quite easy to adjust a Parker 61 nib to fit into a Parker 51 pen.

Thanks. Sadly, that actually makes it harder. Vintage Fountain Pens doesn't have any. So ebay is likely to be your best option. If there aren't any on ebay then I suggest you ask ebay seller "Fatnibs" if he has one available.
If I do an ebay search some 51 nibs come up. Whether they are suitably broad or not is the $64.000 question.

Haha....I just read this post and Cheltenham almost made me fall over. I went to school there back in the 70's - Pates Jr. I lived in Winchcombe at the time.
I Don't know if you ever found a 51 nib, but a quick search on one of my go to dealers on ebay has a Medium that looks nice. The U.S. was more into the fine points while England and Europe preferred the medium/broad points.
    Hope that helps...and WOW....Small world!

Amos, be careful about buying a Parker 51 nib from the US. By the time it's come into the UK and has had our Customs charges added on you might find you could probably have bought two here.

    Hi

its also worth noting with the prices that some sellers ask, its often cheaper to just buy a complete pen with a broad nib, if not cheaper then often not much more.

Thanks everybody, managed to buy one at the London Pen show last weekend from Mark Catley, BBB (Vintage Fountain pens), The flow is a bit iffy, but will regrind. There is a wide variation in 51 prices £60-£230 for the same pen. Sagebush where do you live now?

    regards
