Hello! And can anyone help identify this pen? Marked "Paris" but unclear otherewise.
Hello,
I am a minor collector of fountain pens, but a passionate appreciator. I was recently in Paris and impulse-bought a pen that the shopkeeper told me was one of the last from a series that the manufacturer was making, that it was a custom variation made at the request of the shop. I was so seduced by how well the nib wrote that I didn't notice how weird the grip is, as if they cobbled together a great nib and great barrel with a grip that feels like it's not meant to be there. The cap notes it is a "Modele Recif Depose" and the nib says "Recif Paris." When I look it up online none of them have this odd grip. What is going on here?
