Sheaffer PFM needs a new Snorkel Tube

Hi all

I have a Sheaffer PFM with a lovely wet smooth broad nib that is in need of a replacement Snorkel tube, obviously these are not easy to get hold of, so was wondering if a snorkel tube from say a Statesman would fit and work, they are both the same diameter but not sure about the length.

If its the same I could buy a cheap Statesman and pinch its tube for the PFM, would it work or are they a different length.

Ron Zorn of Main Street Pens is the Sheaffer expert and he will know the answer to that question. He will also know where to source a snorkel tube for a PFM from.

Ok so now had it confirmed by Ron that the all the Sheaffer slant cut snorkel tubes are the same, anyone got one of those they could sell me, before I buy a complete pen and strip it just for its snorkel.

Not mine; it's doing its job in my Snorkel. If you gotta have your PFM now, scavenge a tube from another pen which in turn becomes the pen that's waiting for a tube source.

There are two people I see at pen shows who might have information on sources for tubes:

We know both that but some sellers don't like using USPS 1st class International mail.

Just ordered something from them a few days ago and didn't give them a thought as they don't list any.

That's worth knowing and I'm pleased it turned out well for you. All you have to do now is to fix the pen.
