FS: Tray of First Year Parker 51's & Others

The time has come to part with some of my most treasured Parker 51's. A rare opportunity to pick up some desirable examples.

I have provided a description of each pen below but should you require more information please don't hesitate to contact me. From left to right on the tray:

1. 1945 Parker 51 Double Jewel fountain pen in Cordovan Brown, with lovely gold filled cap. Restored, fine nib. The pen is dated the third quarter of 1945 with a clear imprint "PARKER 51 MADE IN USA 5.". The gold filled cap is in good condition with sets of four parallel lines and does not have any noticeable dents/dings. It has an imprint of "1/10 16K gold filled made in USA" near the cap lip. The cap lip has a little very small spot of brassing/scrape as pictured. The clutch ring has an excellent amount of gold fill still as a testament to the limited use this pen has had. The cap and blind cap jewels are good with only a little bit of brassing to the blind cap tassie. There are a couple of micro spots of ink stain on the hood shell. There are no personalisations and only micro-scratches on the barrel. $269
2. Parker 51 Buckskin beige Double Jewel. Gold filled cap in excellent condition, fine nib, dated 1948 with readable imprint. Restored recently and ready to write. $SOLD
3. Parker 51 Yellowstone Double Jewel. Dated 1946 with readable imprint, gold filled converging lines cap, fine nib, restored and ready to write. $SOLD
4. Parker 51 First Year. Double aluminium jewel in India Black and a correct first cap with alternating wavy and straight line pattern. Correct imprint up by top of cap near clip reads " 1/10 14kt Gold filled Made in USA". Imprint on blind cap is there. Metal speedline filler. Nib is fine to extra fine. Restored some time ago and not written with. $SOLD
5. Parker 51 Double Jewel Grey with rare Wedding Bandcap. The pen is a first year 1941. Has double aluminium jewels and clear imprint. Metal speedline filler. Restored and has a fine nib. $SOLD
6. PARKER “51” Vacumatic Double Jewel “First Year” pen in Cordovan Brown with Sterling Silver cap. Cap shows some wear to plating, but no dents or dings. Correct first year cap with correct chevron band design. Double aluminum jewels. Nice and complete imprint on blindcap. Metal speedline filler. Completely restored and working. $SOLD
7. Parker 51 First Year Cedar Blue Sterling cap - parallel line cap with dual aluminum jewels. No imprint on cap. Imprint on blind cap is very legible. Nib is a fine. Colour of barrel is cedar blue. Excellent overall. Restored some time ago and not written with. Metal speedline filler. $SOLD
8. First Year 1941 Parker 51 Double Jewel Fountain Pen in Cedar Blue Color. Restored professionally. Double aluminium jewel. Metal speedline filler. Medium nib ready to write. $450
9. NOS Parker 51 Flighter in Brushed Lustraloy. Brushed Lustraloy cap. GFT. Extra-smooth, fine nib. New-old-stock. Mint with clear plyglass. $385
10. Parker 51 Grey single jewel vacumatic. Cap has two areas of light scratches but all dents were removed and it was replated by Daniel Kirch. Restored with a new sac some years ago. $125
11. Parker 51 Black Double Jewel Vacumatic - 1/10 16k gold filled heritage cap with 14k solid gold clip and bottom jewel. Medium Nib. Deep crisp imprint. Perhaps a surface mar or two visible with loupe otherwise near mint. $385
