You could put your pen wrap in a tin or padded case that isn't for pens.
Lovely pen wrap. Generous of you.
Still searching for a carrying solution that fits my routine. Who'd a thunk it would be this tricksy to decide?
What about a leather cigar case with a slip cover? I use them for mine with the added anti-rattle and anti-scratch precaution of lining them with felt using contact adhesive. Works a treat and you should be able to find one at similar prices to those I have bought - i.e. about $10-30.
Here's one I wish I had nabbed! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-P...rdt=true&rt=nc
Fountain pen cases are also made in a similar way to cigar cases. Here is mine:

Nice!
Actually, I suspect I need to take a step back and consider what pens I really need to take to work. There is always a slightly guilty feeling of pens being underused and left at home, hence my initial desire to take everything. However, the reality is that I don't normally use more than 3-4 pens at work, sometimes just one. So maybe a case that takes that many would be better than the larger offerings.
There’s always the risk that you lose the case, or the bag is stolen or something. Both have happened to me, with loss of pens in each incident. The more pens that are in a case the more that you lose.
Now i leave the pens that need a case at home and just carry a couple Lamy Al Stars. They’re nice enough to keep me interested but not so expensive that it would really bug me if i lose one.
Yeah, kinda heading in that direction. Thinking about grabbing a Lamy 2000 pencil and multipen to go with the FP, and just taking them in a 3 pen case. In addition, my Hobonichi is currently holding a Pilot Decimo and a Parker 51. Perhaps this is best, to leave the rest at home.
Somebody has added a tag to this thread of "odd coat". Anyone care to enlighten me on the meaning of this?
I recommend Nock Lookout cases, inexpensive, ample protection, colourful and handle larger pens without issue. Also available locally in NZ for $45NZ.

Very nice. Local seller currently doesn't have any colours I like. Also, I get the impression that Nock are struggling to supply the market. Not sure how true that is though. You have some fabulous pens too!
Edit: the Girologio 12 pen case in leather is only slightly more expensive - but is killed by shipping.

That might explain the lack of stock locally or from retailers like the Goulets. However, I just checked the Nock website and there is very little on offer there either.
Sounds like whatever product changes are coming won't appear till later this year or early next.
Some discussion here, 27:29 to 37:10, international sales and forthcoming products from around 34:30.
Well, that sucks - both on the uncertainty of what (if anything) will be available, in what format or in what colourways - not to mention the international sales issues.
I've only ever ordered direct. Flat-rate international shipping was fair.
Kinda gravitating toward a Nock Sinclair, but finding it difficult to locate a colourway that suits my taste. Raven/Aqua is my first choice. Mandarin/Steel a distant second (I can find this but not the other).
How about this? https://www.amazon.com/Metier-Life-M.../dp/B071WQ7RFW
$15 and it has a small notepad, too.
This case is just a few bucks more: https://www.amazon.com/fountain-Sepa.../dp/B00XG9FTQC
This one is genuine leather: https://www.amazon.com/Otto-Angelino.../dp/B07R516MQB
Amazon is our friend!
Maybe the thread is coated with something odd? It is also tagged with paging_goulet.
