Difficult to say with the cap on but maybe 221?

At the risk of telling you something you already know, 585 on the nib (if that's what led you to the number) indicates that it's made of 14 carat gold.

Could be a Montblanc 22 from the 60s.
Does it have the hooded nib and the blue ink window?

Or a 24, it should be written on the capband.
Gold cap top puts it after the two digit pens.
Yes, you are right.
That's why I said "maybe 221." Montblanc 22 would have had a black bit of cap finial near the clip edge, so not a 22.

Can't see a piston knob, so not a 22.
Without seeing it uncapped I'm not sure I can tell exactly what it is. There are tons of this type of pen on ebay so that will probably help narrow it down.
