Waterman Ideal #7 red ripple ebonite with 'PINK' nib, approximately 100 years old
The Waterman pink is the most desirable of any of the Ideal nibs
Pen is ready to write, everything works as it should. Nib is a XF
flexes comfortably to 2 mm (see writing sample)
The sac was replaced 5 months ago
The 'pink' nib is famed for its flexibility, this is an xf nib so it has a bit of bite when writing. The contrast between the XF and the flexed writing is beautiful. Would work wonderfully for spencerian type writing
The bottom plug, which says '7' has beautifully indented "7" nice and crisp
The lever is free from any brassing and works as it should. The cap ring has an area with brassing (see pictures)
The clip has brassing on the ball and the inside of the 'P' is less than perfect (see picture)
