*Laurindo Almeida Quartet* (with Bud Shank) on World Pacific 1204 - on LP. Released in 1957 in mono and very well recorded, some of the tracks were recorded as early as 1954. This is very bossa nova-like music captured before that term had gained wide (any?) currency.

I picked up a 180g release of Nick Drake’s “Pink Moon”, an album I adore. Unfortunately, this pressing (or at least my copy) is a mess. I’m hoping I can exchange it for a better example.
