Today? Skinny Puppy, been doing a dive through their discography from the latest towards the earlier stuff. Been fun to revisit the later/post 2000 albums (I mostly listen to the earlier albums up to "The Process").

Kris Kristofferson is my favourite too.
I am streaming Groove salad and it is very living music in HIFI acoustic. Great Instrumental music for working.
Another masterpiece by Orka. Enjoy

I don't belong to you and you don't belong to me
I was reminded of singer songwriter Mickey Newberry yesterday. His song San Francisco's Mabel Joy, as sung by Joan Baez, is one of several covers of that composition.
Mickey Newbery. Now that's a name I hadn't heard for decades.

And yet, here is another example. I don't have a sophisticated understanding of this sort of music, although I was exposed to it at an early age. But I find it an excellent accompaniment to thought and to my attempts to create something (not music) of my own. I don't know what Mr. Banerjee would have thought of this, but I hope he wouldn't have minded.

A friend of mine has got me into a very odd duo, Sparks. Their videos are even weirder than their music which includes an ode to lawnmowers...

Yes that's right, the Mael bros! I find their songs quite weird but it's refreshing to drop into a different world from time to time.
More "background" music which I don't mean to insult by calling it that. But like the classical Indian music which I linked earlier, I find this very conducive to thought and meditation.
