Default Very Odd Parker 45 Nib

Has anyone ever seen a Parker 45 nib like this before?

Currently selling on UK ebay for £15.99 by one of the largest UK pen sellers.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

This nib is most likely from a Chinese clone of the Parker 45. The best known Parker 45 clone is the Hero 800.

    Many thanks jos,

Read your thread with great interest.

I just get the feeling this nib is from another earlier ( late 1970's ) source

Clones of a Parker 45. Probably than cloning a Wearever.

They will clone anything if the clone will sell. Looks like the Chinese did a better job.

Parker 45 nibs that were made by Parker are usually marked as such. Here and Here
They seem to either have the Parker logo or the word Parker on there, although one of these looks unmarked.

The nib clearly says "China", thus coming from a clone
    It if works....
Unix is user-friendly ; it's just picky about who it's friends are -

I wonder if it is a Hero.

It is very clear there is a vast amount of information here on this forum.

I still think it is strange that a ' respected ' UK eBay seller ( not by me, I think he is a total idiot ) would offer something that is a reproduction of a cheap nib.

You can buy genuine ones for about £ 7 - half of the price asked.
