    Default From the armpit

    Hello all.

I come to you this evening from northern Nevada in a town the country voted the "Armpit of America". Im not one to write extensively on profiles about who I am and what makes me me. Im here to learn and interact with new and experienced FP enthusiasts.

I myself am new to these wonderful writing instruments and have a question that will surely give away my novice status... concerning my edc Kaweco Liliput, is it acceptable for me to stow it horizontally in between uses?

Thanks for giving me a place to share my joy in the discovery of fountain pens!

    Hello and welcome to FPGeeks.

It's absolutely normal to keep any pen horizontally in between uses. All of my pens that are in a collector box are kept that way.

When inked and set aside between writings, store fountain pens nib-up. When empty, it matters not. Modern pens aren't as susceptible to ink leaking into the cap as old pens, but I just stick to that formula with my mix of inked vintage and modern pens.

Mine are all modern so I don't store any nib up. If I do they dry out too much.

Here's a You Tube video from Brian Goulet on the subject.

Howdy. When I saw that you hailed from "the armpit," I thought you were from... never mind, I don't want to offend anyone from there.

What town was voted the armpit of America? I always liked northern Nevada.

I wonder what town is the carbuncle on the butt of America?
