Manu Propria Pens - Bamboo Clip
Since I started making pens I was thinking about a clip concept that matches the Urushi Lacquer pens.
Lately I had the idea why not using bamboo. Bamboo is extremely durable, hard and also flexible.
This pen shows the first Bamboo Clip. The concept is not perfect yet and has to be refined also for lacquer pens
Best regards,
Martin

Promising idea.
If I may offer an feedback, it'll be better if the end of the clip touch the cap because it gives a "finished" look to the clip and it makes the profile of the pen looks complete.
That's why some clips have a ball or a roller at the end.

Re: Manu Propria Pens - Bamboo Clip
I like the idea, even if I tend to prefer clipless pens.
Personally I would prefer the clip to have the same striations as the pen.
The fact that the clip doesn't touch the cap does not bother me, whereas if it was a metal clip it would.
Thank you, Martin.

I like the look, Martin. How is the clip attached to the cap?

Thank you. The clip is glued on the cap with urushi lacquer.
You are right Penwash, I agree.
Here a variety of bamboo clip with urushi lacquer, used as an accent

Re: Manu Propria Pens - Bamboo Clip
I much prefer the second clip - using it as an accent makes it a serious part of the overall aesthetic rather than just an add-on.
I agree with penwash's comment about the clip touching the pen. I'd also worry about snagging the clip on things accidentally if it didn't. (Speaking as someone who manages to snag pullovers on door handles about 80% of the time.)
