Thumbs up Pelikan 4001 - Konigsblau

Yes everyone knows this to be:
the most plain vanilla, the school ink of choice, the friend of all children, the lover of all pens, the terror of the laundry room....
    PELIKAN 4001 Königsblau (Royal Blue)

This was the main ink during my childhood, my mom used to buy 1L bottles of it for all of us and I used it all through college.
It is a boring color, but it was the only ink that was erased by the tinten-killer pens.
Not water resistant (actually very washable as any mother can attest) and tends to fade over time, especially in cheap notebooks with acidic papers or when exposed to sunlight.

To me, over the years, it has not lost it appeal for simplicity, subdued color and smoothness
PLUS it is the safest ink for any fountain pen!

This ink shows some shading in broad nibs, dries relatively quickly and just works

This cartridge came in a Moka pen, that I bought recently and it was like finding an old friend, no words needed to be exchanged to be comfortable
