I'm certainly gratified at how quick people were to come to our defense!
Not sure why our "condition info" is considered iffy, I'd hope that all the photos we post would help clarify condition.
While I can't address the issues you might have had with us in the past, since I'm not sure who you are and wonder if you've actually ever bought anything from us, I thought it would be good to explain what's going on with Amazon.
Much of our new old stock was made in the 1970s, and the average Amazon customer may not know the models, or may expect something along the lines of the heavy modern Chinese-made pens being sold by Sheaffer. We had one complaint about a Sheaffer 330, a model that we've been selling for almost 10 years. The only way to prove authenticity to Amazon is with invoices from Sheaffer or a Sheaffer distributor that are dated in the last 30 days. They were not interested in any other type of proof, such as Sheaffer ads showing the model, or even invoices from the pickers who find stuff for us. There's no one at Sheaffer anymore who knows these old models, and you don't interact with a human being at Amazon, you interact with their algorithms. Something similar happened with the Pilot 78G pens we were selling.
Perhaps eBay is a better reference, and there you will find our feedback at 100% positive with 13,000+ pieces of feedback. And of course, the references I really value come from the kind members of this forum who sprang to our defense.
Regards
TERI
