This was one of the first pens made under the "Montblanc" line, between 1910-14! https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com...c-no-2s-safety

Nice work and pens history. I have a hard time with the website viewing it on an IPad Pro big screen and all much of the website appears cropped off screen on the right side.

Thanks for letting me know. The Wix site only allows for optimizing on laptop and cell phones, so I guess the website is best viewed through those two modes only

This week, I am proud to present an interesting pen from my own personal collection - a 333 1/2 in a hard-to-find green/blue colour. It's supposed to be one of those two colours, but I can't tell which one *

I am happy to share with you that I have enhanced the website design to make it better organized:

    1. All pen reviews are arranged in a timeline - see pic below for screenshot. Basically, as you scroll down the timeline bar takes you from oldest to newest pens (stopping at 1959). Here's a link - https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com...of-pen-reviews

    2. I have cross referenced the information in early articles with catalogues and more books I have acquired recently. I believe the information is richer now. Of course, I am not an expert and so there might be mistakes and inaccuracies or even half-solved mysteries. I hope that readers like you will point them out to me to help make our website better.

As earlier, the website and everything connected to it is purely non-commercial. I am only doing this to share information with vintage MB lovers because it allows me to learn more and it allows me to share my passion for these pens.

As always, the website is better viewed on the computer, but you can check it out on the phone too if more convenient.

Finally, I want to thank you for your encouragement as readers! Also, I want to thank to generous and kindhearted contributors to the website! This is why I refer to the website as "our" website - it is a community effort and that is what makes it special to me.

I hope to share articles on more pens over this coming year, and to interview more experts and prolific collectors. Please do get in touch with me if you have any pens you'd like me to write about. We don't just want to write about 'rare' pens. Any pre-1959 produced Montblanc fountain pens are worth writing and reading about, and are welcomed as contributions.

Happy New Year! I hope that you and your family have a wonderful 2020!

I am super excited to share with you the special Astoria article that we have been working on for a few weeks now. In it, you will find more than 34 rare pens featured, from 1921-36, along with insights about the brand and its pens from experts like Max Schrage, Osman Sümer, and Tom Westerich! I have learned so much about Astoria and Montblanc through this collaborative project, and I want to sincerely thank generous contributors like Kawuska, Ottomarkiv, Max, Osman, and especially Marcwithac (who kickstarted the project), for sharing pictures of their beautiful pens with me.

    Enjoy! Link - https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com/astoria

P.S. I will continue adding pictures of Astoria pens and information on the brand to this page as and when I receive contributions from you - the readers. So, if you know something I don't, or if you have vintage Astoria pens and are willing to share pictures of them then please do reach out to me. Thanks!

Today, I present to you an eyedropper from my personal collection. It is not a safety filler, but instead it is a true eyedropper. EDs are common on other pen brands but not so much on Montblancs, in my opinion. Check it out -->*https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com...o-2-eyedropper

Tom Westerich is co-founder of Penboard.de, and one of the world's most accomplished vintage pen restorers and custom pen makers. In this interview, he tells us about the most special vintage MBs he has seen (with many pictures!!), his favourite filling mechanism, the toughest pens to repair, and much more!

Here's the latest addition to my personal collection. Nothing too fancy, but quite exquisite if you ask me - a Chef D'œuvre No. 22 1/2 push-knob from c. 1929. These French market Meisterstück pens had some interesting distinctions from the typical German ones. Read more here - https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com...pushknob-black

I have just added two rare pens to the site - a Tatra No. 3, and Quail Domino No. 4, both about 100 years old or more! These were pens produced by Montblanc but branded with the name of the stationery retailer that sold them.

Also, I have created a new page dedicated to stationer brands and sub brands. You will find here articles about Astoria pens, a beautiful coral red Reflex C, and a super rare Victoria 62!

    Check it out - https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com...and-sub-brands

P.S. If you have any vintage Montblanc stationer brand or sub-brand pens that you'd like to share so I can add pictures to this new section of the site, then I'd love to hear from you!

Here's another example*of the Compressor. It*is arguably the rarest of the mass produced filling systems made by Montblanc. The No. 6 was the largest size, I believe, in the Compressor series which was only produced for about 2 years ->*https://www.vintagemontblancpens.com/no-6-compressor

I wonder if there was any patent infringement litigation between Simplo/Montblanc and Chilton with the later iteration.
