It doesn't look like an American pen to me, plus the nib says 14ct, which indicates it's made in Europe.
Another peculiar thing is that the barrel doesn't have any thread for the cap. And on the second photo looks like there is something inside the cap.
A lever filler with that style is usually screw-capped, not slip-cap, unless it's a desk pen.

Thanks for your input. This turned out be more of a pussle than anything else. I'm guessing it can be from a lesser known maker, or a more common brand sold under various names. I guess I like the brown mottled look in hard rubber. On second (or more life fifth) look, I see the pen is probably tiny. Seller want's close to £70 for it, and I have enough worn fix up projects at the moment. Could the camera maker Ikonograph have had a few pens with their logo made?
