I may have posted this photo before, but I'm not certain. Anyway, I realized yesterday that I hadn't turned April -> May pages on my Pen Collectors of America calendar. When I did, I realized it was one of the months they used a photo of mine, one that has been a favorite for a couple of years. Here is my Franklin - Christoph 66P in Antique Glass, sitting on a box made for me to hold blank Thank You cards. My friend decoupaged both inside and out, and I now refer to it as the "Box of Gratitude".

Yes, I have thought about it too. But the museum people told me to leave it alone (to explain:I donated this fountain pen to the collection of the Museum of Design Zurich, like the majority of my collection).

Here's a link to the online catalogue of the collections:

There is also a small selection of fountain pens in the permanent design exhibition. Visible in the panoramic view here: https://museum-gestaltung.ch/en/auss...on-highlights/

Thanks Jon that's a worthy addition to the Pen Collectors of America calendar. I love the way the perfectly clear resin stands out on the background where it is filled with ink and how much the logo on the nib draws the eye towards it. Great!

Yes, this is from my collection as well. It's as rare as the transparent models, even more rare with box and papers...

    …about 20 years.

The first Lamy which aroused my interest was the Safari. ( No surprise… )
    Others followed…

Nope. Not with the quality of the photos - you must have the cleanest workspace in the world! I'm not a Lamy aficionado but I very much enjoy looking at your impressive arrays.

The last 2 months have been unusually fruitful on the pen hunt, worthy of a quick windowsill photo. Items have popped up when I least expected, and some auctions fell my way. It also somehow came about evoking a (somewhat) common palette. From left-to-right:

    1. Platinum 3776 in tortoiseshell celluloid, with 18k nib (Japan, early 1990s)
    2. Edacoto in mottled hard rubber (MHR) (France, mid-1930s)
    3. Sheaffer Balance, short standard in Rose Glow celluloid (US, 1936-37)
    4. Moore in less-common 'rose' lined celluloid (US, 1940s)
    5. Parker Victory Mk1, NOS (UK, 1940s)
    6. Parker Victory Mk1 in rose/pink and black celluloid (UK, 1940s)
    7. Parker Deluxe Challenger, demi, in burgundy and black (US, late 1930s)
    8. Parker Victory, demi, lined rose/silver/burgundy (UK, 1940s)
    9.Cascade, grey marbled celluloid w/ silver/burgundy stripes (US, 1930s-40s?)
    10. Franklin-Christoph Model 20 in LE Earthstone acrylic (US, 2020 or so)
