Fossile Parkers...
Lovely image christof. I really like the Parker with the chased cap - upper left of your photo.

Great photo.
The funny thing for me with my warped sense of humour is imagining all of the Parker pen lovers who are obsessive about not posting pens lest they become scratched wringing their hands and clutching their throats in agony as they look upon the picture.
Nice One @Christof.
Lovely Fossilised vintage Parkers!!!!
You have sharp eyes. This Parker 61 is indeed special. It is the only 61 I own that was (probably) made in France (!), and the only 61 I know of which has a barley corn pattern guilloched cap (except some Presidential models*).
According to the thin clutch ring, this pen is an earlier one. The cap is the shorter type, but with the older Parker "51" style clutch. The cap is stamped with "PARKER 61 DOUBLE OR LAMINE"
The pen is a capillary filler and the nib is very soft. It is made of 18ct Gold and bears a french stamp, as the cap does.
The nib is also stamped with 1959. This is interesting! According to Richard Binder, U.S. made 61 were only produced with the shorter cap in 1962.
Quotation www.richardspens.com :So is this just an older nib in a newer pen, or were french 61 earlier equipped with shorter caps than U.S. made 61? Again, according to Richard Binder, it is not.The 61 Mark II appeared in 1962. This version’s cap is about 2 mm shorter than the first model’s cap...
Quotation www.richardspens.com :So, French Parker 61 caps were probably 2mm shorter than U.S. caps already 3 years earlier. If you have more information about this, please feel free to share....and the clutch now features four spring fingers emerging from around the edge of the inner cap and extending toward the cap lip.

@christof I love the way you matched the pens to the paper colours. Very special.

already when I started collecting fountain pens, the brand montblanc was very popular among collectors and vintage fountain pens of this brand therefore accordingly sought and expensive. But as it is, on my search one or the other Montblanc has crossed my path. I never kept them, but always resold or traded them after a certain time.
In this way, a modest number of Montblanc fountain pens have passed through my hands after all. Some of them I have photographed. That is the reason why I would like to share a small review with you. Enjoy!
