    Thank you, Wahl.

My point was he dropped the ' r '

    une petite nuance grammaticale.

I thought it was a clever name to give a finished cap.

As far as I know, the shell and barrel were made by Bexley some time ago. I would think that Bexley assembled some finished pens, as Ariel Kullock did. I think all this stuff was made years ago. Possibly you could find someone else to make some new parts.

Over the years I have always thought of myself as a purist collector.

Very recently my opinion has changed.

I had no idea of the optional custom shells for P51's.

Have attached 3 images of Torelli pens ( these are very expensive custom versions )

    They are all net lifts.

I just spent an hour talking to Brad Terreli yesterday on the phone. I sent him some pens to repair. He seems like a very knowledgeable and pleasant person. He certainly made some beautiful 51's for you.

Is net lift a European term? I have not heard it before. I assume it refers to the Internet?

    Linkinyeah,

The term ' net lift ' was used by early UK web designers.

It means to transfer anything ( usually website code or images ) from one website to another.

You would have be about 50 years old + to remember, back then it was a very specialist field.

Some are very avant garde, the Circus series.

Have attached some images, not for everyone, but they do make a statement !

A great many thanks for honest comments, I greatly appreciated them.

Please can you tell me what you thought of the other ' Fantasy ' P51 shells, did you like any of them ?

Frankly, I prefer the artistry of the caps to any of the acrylic bodies. Well, I do like those bodies that look 'hammered', too. I've seen a couple of these caps in person and the workmanship is exquisite.

Proteus, that P51 certainly looks very similar to the Bexley pen that I have, though mine is in a green ripple with a flash of red.

Then there are his total coverage sterling overlaid 149s.

Not being a great fan of Parker 51's, I can't get excited over most of the fantasy Kullock pens. However, Jon's pen is subtle and very nice with it's gold plated cap.
While I was on holiday I bought a pen I had been considering for a while. It has a similar hooded nib design to the 51 but comes with a good Duofold/Sonnet style twist action converter. It's a creamy white Parker 100 with gold plated cap. I think I was lucky with the price.
It needed plenty of flushing out but after a couple of whirls through the USC it's writing very nicely.

The cap on the right was called a Kamma Sutra cap by A.K. It has a depiction of a sex act around the back. At least R-rated. It is aluminum, silver clip and black design. It is about as ornate as I can stand.

Chrissy - I have always like the stylish look of the P100, just ever bought one.

amk - You mentioned ' Bexley pen that I have, though mine is in a green ripple with a flash of red. '
Are you able to show a photograph of it please. I would really like to see it.

pajaro - ' Kamma Sutra cap by A.K ' Possibly this cap is a little to risky to show here.
I did mentioned that they are avant garde !

Some other of AK's cap designs.

    Thought that they were interesting.

Some would consider these are works of art.

    Any comments please

I like the Porky Pig caps. There is a lot that AK designed that I haven't seen. He took simple objects and took them much farther into works of art.

That is going a lot farther than collecting a few pens. It could be a hobby in itself.

    pajaro,

Many thanks for your comments. ( again )

I think AK was / is vastly unrated.

Over the last few weeks I have spoken to alot of very well known UK collectors and top UK pen restorers.
They ALL own one or two of his full pens with some very special caps.

nb - I found the R rated cap version that you mentioned - 'Women from Avignon'
    Not for me.

My only purported Ariel Kullock bought at last Feb’s LA Pen Show. Sterling with Greek key design. I saw a handful of his AK caps at one seller’s table, and they are exquisite works of art. I very much liked this understated full pen, vs the single caps.
