    Default Mystery Vatican Pen?

    Hey y'all,
Happened across this Vatican pen that was up for sale. I'm not sure what the make is and was pretty unsuccessful with a Google search. So far I found the following: the inscription is in latin and roughly translated says "he/she signs everyone his due" or "law gives everyone his due". This quote is one out of four other inscriptions on the ceiling of the Stanza della Segnatura (and a quartet of medallions). The "stanza" is part of four Raphael rooms in the public part of apartments in the Palace of the Vatican.

Hoping the folks here can help! Thanks in advance

Could it be Emanuela Orlandi's pen?

The 'MV' on the nib is a makers mark?

I can only find references on chinzy "auction" websites. Some say it is a Visconti, which I doubt.

Most likely a pen you could by for (too much money) at the Vatican Museum, or Musei Vaticani, hence "MV" on the nib.

Honestly looks like a standard IPG pen common to Europe in the 80s that were made in China. I wouldn't pay $20 for it, let alone $200 that OP is asking.

    I agree. I think it's a souvenir pen.

Wow thank you AzJon!! I think you might be right---the seller contacted me and said the inscription on the cap says "0253 MVSEVMS PEN".
